So, who is Norbert..?

I was born in Bermuda the Caribbean on 15th of September 2007.
My parents are Polish and migrated to Australia in 2010.
I speak English and Polish. I live with my family in Australia, on the
Sunshine Coast.

My career began in 2012 when I was 5.
I am right handed with a two handed back-hand.

One of my first tennis coach was Simon Merrin,
and then I started at Clint Fyfe Academy.

I am pretty lucky because we live near the birthplace of that great World
Tennis player Patrick Rafter.
I have been coached by Geoff Rafter (Patrick Rafter’s brother). Geoff
helps me with the mental aspects of my game.

Currently I am working with Gavin Yarrow (Patrick Rafter’s former
coach). Gavin sees my potential, and encourages me to believe I might have a
career in tennis one day…

About Me

I am dedicated to the game of tennis. I wish to walk in the shoes
of the greats – Rod Laver, Pat Rafter, Ken Rosewall and the awesome
Roger Federer to name just a few stars of my tennis universe.

What does this mean, to be dedicated when you are still young?
I think it means three things:

  • Respect ,Belief, Determination.

  • - Respect for the game, for the umpires, for the players, and for the spectators.
  • - Respect for my parents who share my journey.
  • - Respect for my coaches and supporters.
  • - Belief I must believe in myself but be modest in my achievements and recognise that there are always new things to learn.
  • - Determination I must never miss a chance to practise what I am learning.

I must believe in myself but be modest in my achievements and
recognise that there are always new things to learn.

I must believe in myself, but be modest in my achievements,
and recognise that there are always new things to learn.
I must never miss a chance to practise what I am learning.
Because of my age this is not always easy because I have my schoolwork
and my need for other things that make me feel I am part of this world.
Things like listening to music – I love the classics- playing games
with my friends, reading, playing piano and pretty much just enjoying being alive.

„Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out."
